Hong Kong is positioned at the mouth of the Pearl River Delta on the coast of southern China, covering an area of 1,104 square kilometres. The territory comprises Hong Kong Island, the Kowloon Peninsula, the New Territories, and more than 200 outlying islands, including Lantau Island where Hong Kong International Airport is located. Hong Kong is a kaleidoscope of life, a sophisticated fusion of East and West, an age-old synthesis of cultures and traditions, and a unique city where new and old meet at every turn. It offers a memorable and diverse experience of stunning cityscapes, natural green countryside, and living culture and heritage with exquisite authentic Asian cuisines and a truly “Shopping Paradise”. Hong Kong has a sub-tropical climate with distinct seasons. During spring (March to May), the average temperature is 17°C–26°C.
